I struggled to find the PERFECT mat for your outdoor steps (and stoop) and took a chance, thankfully, in WaterHog! (Love the company name). The quality, texture, price point and design checked of of my boxes. The arrival time is as pretty quick. The “dog bone stair tread” is the one we selected since we have 4 frenchies. It’s a bonus that the top does not heat up in the summer and my dogs (and myself) do no slip on it. When it rains, yes it stays moist for a bit butdrys with no residual Oder.

I needed a heavy duty mat for Florida where it pours pretty regularly and there is lots of sand. My WaterHog looks great-- not industrial and does not really show any dirt or sand (I got the gray to hide sand). I don't know where the water goes but it aborbs so much as we enter the house and has not ever seemed water logged. I am really happy with my purchase.
We love these!!!! Not only are they beautiful and match the decor and the landing mat, but they don’t require anything to stay in placeand they are washable!!!! What’s not to love?
This mat is great! I love the color and design. I have it in a doorway from my garage and laundry room and it's a perfect fit. It’s thin enough for the door to clear it but very protective so my runner there stays cleaner.

We'd been wanting to upgrade to a WaterHog doormat for side door entry for a while. After a very wet winter and spring, we finally decided to take the plunge. Well worth the money. It's sturdy, easy to clean, and the navy is a classy color. I love that I'll just be able to hose this off and let it it dry before putting it back in the entry area. No fuss.
Perfect size and color, my long haired dogs hair vacuums up easily and defiantly catches dirt and water. Best purchase!
We got LVP floors, which we love. But our dogs kept slipping because they run down the stairs when they get excited. We had some stick on stair covers, but they looked hideous and wouldn’t stay on. We’ve had these treads a few weeks and they’ve worked well. Heavy enough to stay in place, but easy to move and clean. No slipping dogs. And they look ok. Thank you, Water Hog!

We've had WaterHogs for years, but after we got new flooring in the kitchen, as well as other updates, it was time to move our old faithfuls to other spots, and lay down these. They look great; they work great on all the leaves & detritus we track in. They only saw the tail end of winter, this year, though, so they're getting broken in for next year.

My WaterHog mat just arrived, but it won't lay flat; is it defective?
No! This is a very common occurrence due to the nature of rubber. Here are a few tips and tricks to ensure your WaterHog mat lays flat.
- Sometimes all your mat needs to do is relax! Bring it indoors and allow it to warm up to room temperature, or place rubber-side up in direct sunlight for approx. 10-20 minutes.
- Use caution if placing in direct sunlight; it will get hot if exposed for too long.
What's the best way to clean my WaterHog mat from dust, dirt, leaves, and sand?
The tried and true method is to take your mat into the yard or similar and simply shake vigorously until the bulk of the debris is gone. You can also sweep or use your household vacuum as it will not hurt your WaterHog mat.
